Luminasia

Luminasia was a holiday season production in Mexico’s Monterrey by LA based International Special Attractions and local producer Cacao Producciones for Turismo,  Nuevo Leon.

Set in Lago De Las Olas in the spectacular Parque Fundidora it encompassed approximately 2 acres of waterside and a circular island that we chose as a location for an illuminated fairy castle that became a local social media sensation.

To create this involved 55 artisans travelling from the Chinese city of Zigong, China - an elite team of extremely talented sculptors, electricians, fabric workers and builders who set about building the show's content under our creative direction.

The entire build phase was approximately 3-weeks in which literally hundreds of giant illuminated sculptures were assembled, fitted with lights and dressed in fabric.

The reaction was absolutely astounding - the entire city of Monterrey seemed to grind to a halt as over 30,000 visitors per night flocked to attend.

The show’s entire run had an incredible 700,000 guests, and was featured in El Horizonte, Millenio, and El Norte. In addition to which the tens of thousands of selfies taken in front of the castle and posted to social media became a local meme
